The mission of Team 469 Las Guerrillas is to create an inclusive STEM environment where all students are inspired to pursue their interests, gain knowledge through doing, and develop themselves as leaders, through serving their team, schools, and communities.

"My favorite memory would be winning the imagery award at the Worlds Champions, and I can still remember how shocked everyone was when we realized we won." - Prathisha K. grade 12

“Being a part of FRC and team 469 has had nothing but such a positive impact on my life. I’ve learned countless skills that are beyond what’s taught in the classroom and made lifelong friends along the way” - Sam S. grade 11

"As an alumnus of Team 469 Las Guerrillas, I’ve seen firsthand how much this team and program impact the lives of high school students. Working with peers and mentors developed invaluable skills for college and my career. Las Guerrillas left such an impact on my life that it made me want to come back to the team after graduating to give students the opportunity to have the same experience." - Andrew S. alumni/mentor

100% of our students can go pro!!!

  1. Mentorship: Offer your expertise in robotics, engineering, programming, or related fields by becoming a mentor for the team. Sharing your knowledge and guidance can be immensely valuable to the students.
  2. In-Kind Donations: Provide donations of materials, tools, or equipment that the team may need for building and programming their robots. This can be especially helpful if you have access to surplus or unused items.
  3. Volunteer Time: Offer your time as a volunteer to help with team logistics, organization, or event planning. Robotics teams often require assistance with administrative tasks, fundraising efforts, and event coordination.
  4. Workspace: If you have access to a workshop or workspace, consider allowing the team to use it for their robot-building activities. A dedicated workspace with tools and equipment can be a game-changer for a robotics team.
  5. Sponsorship: Encourage local businesses or companies you are affiliated with to sponsor the team. Sponsorships can cover expenses like registration fees, travel costs, and equipment purchases.
  6. Fundraising Support: Assist the team in organizing fundraising events or campaigns. This can include helping them plan and execute activities like bake sales, car washes, or online crowdfunding campaigns.
  7. Transportation: If the team participates in competitions or events that require travel, you can offer transportation support by providing vehicles or covering travel expenses.
  8. Networking: Connect the team with professionals or organizations in your network who may be able to provide resources, guidance, or opportunities for collaboration.
  9. Promotion: Help promote the team's activities and accomplishments within your community or on social media. Positive exposure can attract more support and opportunities.
  10. Facilities Access: If you have access to facilities like a university or company laboratory, consider offering the team access for testing, experimentation, or research purposes.
  11. Educational Workshops: Host workshops or seminars on relevant topics for the team, such as coding, engineering principles, or project management.
  12. Grants and Scholarships: Help the team identify and apply for grants, scholarships, or awards that can provide financial support and recognition for their efforts.
  13. Advocacy: Advocate for increased support for robotics education and programs at the local, state, or national levels. This can involve contacting policymakers and educators to emphasize the importance of STEM education.

Remember that your support, whether financial or through other means, can make a significant difference in the success and growth of a robotics team. Robotics teams often thrive on a combination of financial resources, mentorship, and community involvement, so your contributions in various forms can be highly valuable.
